The ENC Ranking is a system that measures each country and territory’s performance across ENC’s game disciplines through designated club tournaments. It’s the foundation behind direct invitations to ENC 2026, turning club-level results into an overall table of countries and territories.
The principle is simple: players earn points for performances at key tournaments. Player points are grouped by country or territory and form an overall score. This score determines who receives a direct invitation to the ENC final and who has to go through qualifiers.
The ranking exists so that direct invitations are based entirely on results — not reputation, just performance on stage. The system also creates a unified competitive structure across all disciplines, allowing fans to follow their country’s position on the global table.
How the System Works
The system operates in four steps.
The first — tracking results at designated club tournaments called Contributing Competitions. These are the most important competitions for each discipline during a set qualification period. Each tournament is assigned a tier: a higher tier means more points, a lower tier means fewer. For example, in Dota 2, winning an S-tier tournament gives 1,200 points, while an A-tier win gives 600.
The second — awarding points for the final result. If a team wins a major and earns 1,200 points, each active player on the roster receives those 1,200 points individually. Substitute players aren’t counted. This ensures equal recognition for every team member.
The third — aggregating points at the country or territory level. Each country submits an official roster by May 10, 2026. The system sums the points of the best players according to the team format: top five for 5v5, top four for 4v4, top three for 3v3. At the same time, a maximum of three players from the same club can count toward the total in team disciplines — except for CS2 and a few others. If two countries end up with the same number of points, tiebreakers apply: points from higher-tier tournaments, the highest individual player score, the best result at a specific event, and so on.
The fourth — a final comparison of all countries and territories against each other to form the official ENC ranking.
Deadlines and Qualifiers
Each discipline has a fixed ranking cutoff date, agreed upon with the publishers. As of that date, the table is frozen — and the countries receiving direct invitations to the final are determined. The remaining countries gain access to regional qualifiers.
Key dates:
- Coach selection deadline: April 7, 2026
- Roster submission deadline: May 10, 2026
- Main event: November 2–29, 2026, Riyadh
For solo disciplines, the system is simplified: players are ranked individually, and only the highest-ranked player from each country receives a direct invitation. A maximum of two players from the same country can reach the ENC final — one through a direct invitation, the other through qualifiers.
CS2 — A Special Case
Counter-Strike 2 doesn’t use the standard direct-invitation system. Valve’s VRS ranking determines which 96 countries are eligible to take part in national qualifiers and their seeding at the final. No country receives a direct invitation to the final. If fewer than 96 countries are represented in VRS, an additional ranking is formed based on the combined FACEIT ELO of the top 40 active players from each unranked country during May. Countries with VRS standing always rank above those that qualify solely through FACEIT ELO.
The ENC ranking is built as a transparent system, where every point reflects a real result, and every shift in the table brings a country closer to the stage in Riyadh this November 2026.
