The MK Foundation charity, together with the Ukrainian Esports Federation, has handed over five powerful gaming computers to the TYTANOVI rehabilitation center. The equipment will be used for the physical and psychological recovery of veterans — including those who have suffered severe injuries and amputations.
More than entertainment
At TYTANOVI, staff explain that the computers serve as a full-fledged rehabilitation tool.
“Games help servicemen reduce anxiety, take their minds off traumatic experiences, and gradually return to normal life. At the same time, they help develop coordination, motor skills, and cognitive abilities,” says center director Vyacheslav Zaporozhets.

Simulators, prosthetics, and new skills
The new equipment also opens up learning opportunities. Veterans will be able to practice driving or operating FPV drones through specialized simulators. A separate focus is prosthetics: the computers will be equipped with COAPT software for controlling bionic limbs. Training on a large screen is far more convenient and effective than working with tablets.
Hlib Bienia, a veteran of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade undergoing rehabilitation at the center after a severe injury and the loss of two limbs, confirms this:
“Computer games really do help. It’s about physical recovery as well as mental state — you get distracted, you train, and you gradually regain control over yourself.”

UESF on supporting veterans
UESF president and MK Foundation founder Maksym Krippa noted that supporting veterans after injuries is one of the foundation’s key areas of work.
“For us, it’s important not only to help on the frontline, but also to support servicemen after they’re wounded. Rehabilitation is about returning to a full life, and we want modern technology to help our defenders recover faster and regain control over their bodies and lives. Esports is one of the tools that can help with that.”
UESF executive director Andrii Hryshchenko adds:
“We’re very glad to support such an important initiative. The Federation has been involved in rehabilitation projects like this for military personnel after injuries for more than a year now, and it’s a great honor for us to do this together with MK Foundation for the TYTANOVI charity foundation. May these computers bring not just benefit, but also fun and enjoyment.”
GSC Game World also joined the project, providing the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl for rehabilitation purposes.
In the near future, the center will set up full workstations with the new equipment.
