Ukraine’s League of Legends national team brought together players competing at the highest level of the European scene \u2014 from the franchised LEC to regional leagues. Coach WildHeart, who himself began his esports journey back in 2014 and represented some of the scene’s most well-known tags and European leagues, built the roster around players who know what it means to play under pressure at the top level.<\/p>\n\n
Volodymyr “Maynter” Sorokin<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
25 years old. Top laner, NAVI. Winner of EMEA Masters 2025 Summer with Karmine Corp Blue. Went through a long road via the European Regional Leagues (ERL) before receiving an invitation from NAVI \u2014 the club’s head coach, TheRock, chose him for his leadership qualities and ability to communicate within the team. This season, he’s playing in the LEC against Fnatic, G2, and Karmine Corp.<\/p>\n\n
Yevhenii “Jamie” Sorokin<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
23 years old. Bot laner, ZennIT. One of the strongest shooters on the Ukrainian LoL scene, a consistent Challenger-rank player. An interesting fact: shares the same surname as top laner Maynter \u2014 and has represented the country in the same roster as him, despite not being related.<\/p>\n\n
Built his career in the European Regional Leagues (ERL). Over the past four splits, he has consistently held Challenger rank on the most prestigious EUW server, reaching a peak of 1963 LP. Started in Eastern Europe with RoX in the LCL 2021, played for an extended period in the Greek league with Team Paradox, and most recently joined Belgian club ZennIT in the Benelux League.<\/p>\n\n
Oleksandr “Efias” Yankovych<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
Support. 17 years in League of Legends \u2014 since the very first season of the game. Started his competitive career in Italy in Season 3, with a total of 12 years of competitive experience. Six-time champion of Italy. Played three years in the Spanish league with G2 Arctic and Bar\u00e7a eSports.<\/p>\n\n
“There are very strong individual players on different teams, but in this tournament, what will matter most is which team adapts to each other the fastest. I think we have a fair chance of qualifying.”<\/p>\n\n
Andrii “Fogzy” Voitiuk<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
20 years old. Midlaner. Came to League of Legends through family \u2014 his father and brother play LoL and still do. On the scene since season 8-9, having played in HitPoint (Division 1) and Prime League (Division 2).<\/p>\n\n
“I’m approaching the qualifiers in fighting spirit. I believe our team will get through the qualifiers and make a name for itself at ENC.”<\/p>\n\n
Danylo “Maul” Bulia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
21 years old. Jungler. Started playing at age 10, went competitive at 15. Qualified for the Ultraliga with an all-Ukrainian stack, Ukrainian Glory Team, and played there for a year. “We have a strong roster and high ambitions. We believe in our abilities and know what we’re playing for.”<\/p>\n\n
Coach: Roman “WildHeart” Maksymchuk<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n
Began his esports journey back in 2014. Played for Carpe Diem (2014\u20132015) and Hard Random (2014) \u2014 a dominant organization in the region at the time. The most important stage of his career came in 2015\u20132016. Finished his playing career in the top division of the LCL.<\/p>\n\n
Qualifier Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n
Unfortunately, Ukraine’s League of Legends national team’s road to the Esports Nations Cup 2026 has come to an end. In the decisive match, the Ukrainians lost to Serbia, 0:1. Final qualifier record \u2014 2 wins and 2 losses.<\/p>\n\n
